Crisis Readiness

Mission: To regain and/or maintain credibility through pre-emptive actions before crisis strikes or by managing and communicating responsible actions after an incident occurs. Ensure key personnel have the necessary skills to successfully communicate under fire and implement the organization's crisis communication plan.

Significant Work: The real test of crisis communication skills is whether or not they work in the face of unfortunate events. Ours do and have been put to work in oil spills in Alaska, the failure of pacemakers, massive corporate restructuring, release of life-threatening materials, and the loss of public trust. Our clients have also used our straightforward pre-emptive strategies to prevent regulatory action, Congressional hearings, and litigation. CCA is a member of several corporate crisis response teams.

Research: Nail down emerging issues which could take on a life of their own and impact credibility. Uncover potential operational and non-operational crisis situations. Verify the accuracy of all CCA-developed scenarios.

Level of Effort: Normally three phases of labs in a 1-year period.

Content Highlights:

Location: Conducted privately at a location of your choice.

Bottom Line: Our crisis scenarios are so well researched and checked for accuracy that they seem real to participants. In fact, some have actually occurred weeks after a crisis communication lab. The “reality” of our work helps ensure readiness for the unexpected.
