Our Approach

Our unique and innovative APPROACH is extremely effective in teaching computer skills to preschoolers (ages 2-5). Our classes are typically facilitated by utilizing standard desktop personal or laptop computers in a small group setting.

We believe the most effective method to relay computer skills to preschoolers is in the small workgroup, one instructor, one computer, one child-friendly keyboard with four children per group. Each child has the opportunity to share, interact, and perform all the required tasks for the lesson being delivered each week. Every child in the workgroup adds an individual strength and collectively, as a TEAM, the children progress at a pace they would not achieve working one-on-one. Our instructors perform an ongoing evaluation process which allows Floppy’s Mouse Club to continually challenge each child working with our program.

There are a series of time periods, or “learning windows,” in which a child can best learn a particular ability and computer skills are no different. For example, research has shown that a child clearly can acquire a second language much easier than adults - and it's true. These windows of opportunity are effective only if we take advantage of them. Through our Floppy's Mouse Club computer classes, our students are provided effective environmental stimuli with allow students to interact, grow and prosper.
